AquaPaddle is open to all paddlers. Being a slow paddler is no barrier to taking part. Most of us were slow paddlers once. We include all paddlers. There is no cut off time. If you are still out on the course and aiming to finish, then the team will wait for you. On the events that have taken place to date, the other AquaPaddlers generally wait and cheer home their fellow paddlers and especially those at the back who might be doing it for the first time. We are one big supportive family.
Sweeper Volunteers
Every AquaPaddle has a Sweeper to paddle at the back of the fleet. They are there to make sure all paddlers, regardless of how fast or slow they are, get back safely. It is important that every AquaPaddler has a positive experience.
