About
The reservoir covers some 230 acres and is AquaPaddle Burton's alternate location when the River Trent is in spate and un-paddleable.
We have permission to be on the water before the Club's racing kicks off, so need to be clear of the water at around 10:30am
Rules are slightly different to being on the river. We can only launch when the safety boat is out, and the course will depend on the wind conditions on the day, so make sure you're there for the briefing!
The course is likely to be several laps of one of the sheltered bay areas, so it should be suitable for all paddler abilities.

Please be aware, the water is predominantly used for the Sailing Club for racing on Sundays, so please keep your boards clear of the slipways and look out for others on the water. There is a grass area in front of the parking to blow up boards, and a grassy area by the shore for launching.
