Bath

Bath. We are on the River Avon close to the A36 Cleveland Bridge. The lane is called Cleveland Cottages and the club is at the end of the lane.

Our route allows us to paddle through the Green Heart of the city. We do not venture down to the horseshoe-shaped Pulteney weir which is where most tourists take pictures of the river and of Pulteney Bridge. This stepped weir is very hazardous for SUPs and for this event we stay well clear of the bridge and weir.
The AquaPaddle takes you out of Bath to the North East ending up next to another village in the open countryside.

About

AquaPaddle Bath starts under one of Bath’s most picturesque bridges, the Cleveland Bridge. The route then goes upstream towards the Bathampton Mill Pub and return. The participants briefing takes place at 9.20am and please build in time to drop off your. Craft, find a parking space and return.

AquaPaddle Bath is led by Paul and helped by his Fantastic Crew. If you would like to Volunteer and become a member of the local Crew, please contact the local AquaPaddle Captains through the Discord Comms System or email AquaPaddle

The route is upstream through a green corridor to Bathampton Mill and return. Since there is very little boat traffic on this part of the Avon, it will be a very enjoyable paddle. Bath Canoe Club will undoubtedly lead the way.

The Launch point is at Bath Canoe Club. Please leave plenty of time to park and walk to the club, to get set up.
