Alderford Lake

Alderford Lake is located in Whitchurch, Shropshire.

The lake has islands and inlets, with lots to see as you paddle around. The route is five laps of the lake, looping around the islands and into the inlets and bays. Each event changes the direction of the paddle between clockwise and anti-clockwise, keeping the route varied and allowing participants to alternate their paddling. It is a technical route that will test your turns, but a very enjoyable one that must be visited!

The launch point is located to the right side of the lake, once you have passed through admissions. There is ample parking on-site. It is an ideal location for adaptive paddlers with easy access to the water.

There are great facilities for after the AquaPaddle, including the Lakeside Kitchen where you can get breakfast or a drink, and the Alderford Farm Shop. There is plenty of time after the paddle to chat to other AquaPaddlers, make new friends, and plan outings of your own.
