AquaPaddle Cotehele Pilot Event

Fantastic support for our first AquaPaddle here at Cotehele in Cornwall. The sun was bright and warm, the wind non-existent, the river like a mill pond and the tide times perfect, if only we could can that every time!

So many people were interested in what we were doing and would have liked to take part. I think AquaPaddle will be welcomed in this locality. Such a wonderful morning, we certainly proved the tech and system today.

Seven Paddlers had volunteered to be our AquaPaddlers for the Pilot event. The purpose was to test the Radios and Timing systems, plus crew training, so when the open the next to the general public, we are ready. It is a stunning location and thanks must go to the National Trust for helping make it happen.

Paddling under Calstock Viaduct is just amazing and on such a morning it was very special. Passersby in Calstock waved as first we paddled one way and then back again. It was just a truly beautiful morning. We are definitely looking forward to the next one.

All paddlecraft are welcome at AquaPaddle Events and there is plenty of parking at Cotehele and The Edgecumbe Tea Room will be open for refreshment on your return.
